Today’s visit to the Larco Herrera Museum was a fact-packed look at pre-Columbian artefacts and way of life. Fernando, our enthusiastic and engaging guide had a lot to say about the various items of pottery, fabric, and precious metals. He and the museum seemed especially focused on the erotic pottery depictions. One thing the was striking was just the sheer quantity of intact relics.

After the museum, we enjoyed ourselves at the Circuito Mágico del Agua, and interactive park of fountains. We watched, we played, and we tried not to get too wet as the unpredictable streams of water shot up all around us. Most of us made it out ok, but for some of us, well, let’s just say it’s a good thing we brought a change of clothes.
