Goodbye Ceremony

Writer: Professor YanetProfessor Yanet

Today for our last day at Manuel Polo Jiménez air force school, we were treated to a warm goodbye ceremony which included musical performances, typical dance performances, speeches, gifts, and food. It was really thoughtful and kind of our hosts. We took many pictures and had a good time. Then we went outside for some sports. Some of us played volleyball, some of us played soccer, and some of us just spent quality time with the students. In all cases, we had a good fun time, and it was hard to say goodbye. Tears were shed and contact information was exchanged. Thank you to all who made this cultural and linguistic exchange possible. I hope some of the students stay in contact with each other and continue fostering good relationships.
